Los Angeles Kings vs. New York Rangers, Home Sweet Home | Update News

What’s the easiest way to erase a disappointing trip? In the words of Motley Crue… Home sweet home.

The Kings last played at the Crypto Arena on November 10 and won their fourth home win in a row, with just one goal difference in their last three games. So they were close. When the Rangers and Kings played a couple of games last season, every game was won by the home team.

Kings quarterback Sean Durzy has been sidelined with what is described as an everyday injury, according to the latest reports. Unless something changes between today and the warm-up later this evening, that should mean Jacob Moverar will start a second game in a row on defense. On Saturday, he played nearly 14 minutes against Seattle, leading all Los Angeles skaters with five shots on goal.

Ahead, it looks like coach Todd McLellan will try to reunite Kevin Fiala with top tandem Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe. In addition to keeping track of whether this trio has a better second act than their first, it’s also worth keeping an eye on how this will affect Gabe Vilardi. He’s now gone six games without a goal – and hasn’t even scored an SOG in Seattle – after being very effective in the first 15 games of the season.

Estimated Los Angeles Kings roster vs. New York Rangers

Fiala – Kopitar – Kempe
Moore – Dano – Arvidsson

JAD – Kupari – Kaliev

Anderson – Doughty
Edler – Roy
Moverar — Walker
